Leave of absence

  • Leave of absence can be applied for 1 or 2 semesters at a time, and cannot exceed 3 semesters in total.
  • Leave of absence for freshman semester (first registration) and summer intensive course (second registration) is not permitted. You can apply and register.
  • If you do not return to school after 3 semesters of general leave of absence, your leave of absence will be terminated.
  • If you have any questions regarding leave of absence, please contact the Fintech MBA Administration Office.

Return to school

  • Application period: within the prescribed period before the start of each semester (January, July)

Reinstatement Notice

  • If you return to school or do not extend your leave of absence at the end of the leave of absence, you will be expelled, and please note that you will have to go through the process of re-admission later.
  • Even if you apply for a leave of absence for two semesters, you can only return to school after one semester.

** You must apply for reinstatement after the period of leave of absence expires. Reinstatements are not processed automatically. **

Expulsion and readmission

  • Those who have been expelled for non-registration or expiry of general leave of absence may apply for re-admission within the prescribed period after one year has elapsed from the date of expulsion.
  • Re-admission may be permitted after screening if there are vacancies. (However, if you are expelled for a leave of absence from the military service, you can apply for re-admission within one year from the date of expulsion)
  • If a student who was expelled for disciplinary reasons is expelled for the same reason after re-admission, re-admission will not be permitted.
  • Students who have been expelled from leave of absence cannot take a leave of absence again after re-admission.
